Terms of service.

The rules for using our website and working with Datafindy, in plain English.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Datafindy website and to any service we provide to you. Datafindy is operated by [legal entity name]. By using this website or engaging us, you agree to these terms.

Our services

We provide statistical analysis, survey design, data cleaning, monitoring and evaluation support, business intelligence, process control, clinical data analysis, data automation and AI automation, as described on our website.

The scope, deliverables, timeline and price of each project are set out in a written quotation or proposal. Once you accept it, that document forms part of our agreement with you, and these terms apply to it.

Free assessment

A free assessment gives you a suggested approach, a timeline and a quote. It creates no obligation to hire us, and we will not charge for it.

Your responsibilities

To help us deliver your project, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and data, confirm that you have the right to share any data you give us, respond to our questions within a reasonable time and review our work when asked.

Fees and payment

Fees are quoted in [currency] and are fixed once the project is agreed, unless the scope changes. Payment terms are [payment terms, for example deposit and balance]. We may suspend work on overdue invoices until payment is received.

Changes to scope

If you ask for work outside the agreed scope, we will confirm the change in writing, including any effect on price and timeline, before starting it.

Academic work

We provide analysis support, methodology advice and coaching. We do not write theses, dissertations or assessed work on your behalf, we do not fabricate or alter results, and we do not ghostwrite. You are responsible for disclosing our support to your supervisor or institution in line with its rules.

No guaranteed outcomes

We give you accurate, well documented analysis and honest advice. We cannot guarantee specific results, publication, funding, grant success, rankings or business growth, because these depend on factors outside our control, including the quality of the data and decisions made by others.

Web data collection, AI and specialist work

You are responsible for ensuring that any web data collection we carry out for you is lawful and permitted by the relevant website terms and data protection law. We may decline work that we believe is not appropriate.

AI outputs are tested and reviewed, but they can still contain errors. Our work is not legal, medical, financial or regulatory advice. Analyses for regulatory submissions require a separate agreement.

Intellectual property

Once your project is paid for in full, you own the deliverables prepared specifically for you. We keep ownership of our general methods, templates and tools, and we grant you a license to use any of them that are included in your deliverables.

We will not publish your name, data or results, and we will not use them as a case study, without your written permission.

Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other party's confidential information private and use it only for the project, except where the law requires disclosure. These obligations continue after the project ends. We are happy to sign a separate non disclosure agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the fees you paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or decisions made on the basis of our work without considering its stated limitations.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Ending the agreement

Either party may end a project by giving written notice. You will pay for work completed up to the date of notice, and we will hand over the work completed so far.

Use of this website

You agree not to use this website unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt to access areas you are not permitted to use, or copy our content for commercial use without permission.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction]. We will first try to resolve any dispute by discussion. If that fails, the dispute will be heard in the courts of [court location], unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to a different forum.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to new engagements from the date they are published. Existing projects continue under the terms agreed when they started, unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.
